What is a truck camper?
A truck camper is a self-contained RV unit that mounts onto the bed of a pickup truck. Truck campers do not require towing and allow you to bring an RV setup wherever your truck can go, including off-road and backcountry locations.
What size truck do I need for a truck camper?
Most truck campers require a full-size pickup truck with a long bed or short bed depending on the camper model. Payload capacity is the most important factor. Your truck's payload rating must exceed the camper's wet weight (loaded with water, propane, and gear). Contact your preferred Fraserway RV dealership to confirm your truck is a safe match before purchasing.
Does Fraserway RV sell truck campers?
Yes. Fraserway RV sells new and used truck campers at select dealership locations. Brands carried include Adventurer Manufacturing, Soaring Eagle and Palomino.
Can I leave a truck camper at a campsite and drive my truck separately?
Yes. Most truck campers have removable jacks that allow you to detach the camper and set it on the ground at your campsite, freeing your truck for day trips.
