If you’re like most people, reminders are always helpful – especially if you’re RVing for the first time in awhile. Linda, one of our RV Parts Specialists in Abbotsford, BC, has a foolproof trick to never forget your necessities again!
Buy a pack of slapwrist bands, sticker labels and a large storage bag. For each reminder, write it on a label and stick it on a bracelet. Here are just a few examples:
- Remove wheel chocks
- Unplug from shore power
- Disconnect water lines
- Lock cabinets
- Clear counter tops
- Secure holding tanks
- Lower levellers
- Retract awning

Put a labeled bracelet on the steering wheel before you leave home, before you leave your destination or even during your trip for whatever reminders you need – if you’re like me, you might need to cover the whole wheel! Once a task is completed, simply take the bracelet off the wheel and put them back in your storage bag. It’s that easy!
Even though they’re quite retro, you can find slap bracelets on Amazon or Ebay. Or, if you’re feeling crafty, you can even make your own using a measuring tape and heavy-duty scissors! Just wrap the two cut ends in duct tape to protect yourself from sharp edges.
