Fender skirts sit right above your RV’s tires, and they can break when one of the tires blow or when a rock hits the skirt while driving. They can even start to break down simply from exposure to the elements!
Here’s a quick tip for preserving the life of your fender skirt if you’re storing it during the winter. Loosen the screws on the skirts, just about 3 turns. There are different expansion and contraction rates between plastic and aluminum, and this will help prevent them from cracking.
Just remember to tighten the screws again in the spring!
