SAMARITAN’S PURSE CANADA AND CANADIAN RED CROSS BOLSTERED BY DONATIONS FROM RV DEALERS
ALBERTA, CANADA – The campaign by four RV dealers to contribute to flood relief in Southern Alberta has wrapped up, with great success. By July 27, 2013, the dealers had collected $291,630 by setting aside $1,000 from the sale of every RV for a five-week period.
“I would like to thank the employees of the four participating dealerships, plus our industry partners and customers, for contributing to these five weeks of fundraising and making this a successful event,” expressed campaign spokesman James Epp. “I would also pray God's blessing on the Canadian Red Cross, Samaritan’s Purse Canada, and their employees and volunteers, for wisdom and courage as they continue to help flood victims in South Alberta.”
The donation will be shared by Samaritan’s Purse Canada and Canadian Red Cross. The two charities have sustained a volunteer presence since the day after the June 20, 2013, flood. They continue to work in the affected communities by restoring damaged properties and assisting residents through the aftereffects of the trauma. Both organizations have videos on their websites of first-hand results of their efforts.
The four like-minded RV dealers – Fraserway RV Calgary, Fraserway RV Edmonton, Lacombe RV, and Roadmaster RV in Leduc – set a goal to raise $300,000 in four weeks for flood relief, but held over the campaign for a fifth week in an effort to raise as much as possible.
Thank you for your help.
