Fraserway RV LP is Canada's largest recreational vehicle dealer, specializing in sales, parts, service, and rentals. The success of Fraserway RV has largely been due to the Epp family's vision, dedication and service to the RVing public. Due to their vision, the Epps' took the company from a five-employee camper manufacturer in 1969 to the creation of Western Canada's first RV superstore in 1987 to coast-to-coast operations in 2004.
1970’s - One of the initial expansions on the Abbotsford site was a misbegotten venture into fast food. In an effort to maintain the ability to expand, the company took over a lease of a Dog’n Suds drive-in restaurant on an adjoining piece of property. However, after a brief foray into burgers, the Epps recognized this as a distraction from their vision for Fraserway. They shut down the restaurant and focused on expanding the company and servicing the RVing public.
1980’s – Fraserway RV passed from one generation to the next. Son, Chris Epp, took on the responsibility for the newly acquired manufacturing division of Trav-L-Mate in Penticton, BC, while son, James Epp, took responsibility for the Fraserway RV operations in Abbotsford, BC. As Fraserway continued to grow, the Abbotsford dealership expanded to a new customer friendly location, featuring a 5,000 square foot showroom, a 5,000 square foot parts department and six service bays. Fraserway also continued adding experienced employees to share information and technology, in order to strengthen the company’s position within the growing RV market.
1990's - Fraserway tentatively stepped into the RV rentals business in the early 1990’s after buying 85 liquidated motorhomes. The Epps originally planned on selling these RVs, however; after being approached by a rental company to lease 25 of the units, they decided to enter the rental business. Two years later, the rental fleet had grown from 50 units to 125 units due to newer units, a mission to deliver a higher standard of customer service and experienced management. In June 1994, the company embarked on a significant expansion by opening its Annacis Island operation in Delta, joining the Calgary facility in featuring first class RV rentals, trucks, campers and motor homes for the traveling tourist, both homegrown travelers and foreign visitors.
2000's - In April 2005, the Whitehorse location celebrated its grand opening in their new building including, parts, sales, service and rentals. The Halifax location was added to Fraserway RV operations in 2004 and in March 2006 the Toronto and Edmonton location opened. In March of 2007 we opened the doors to our 25,000 square foot full service RV Dealership in Airdrie, Alberta. In the Fall of 2008 staff from our two Abbotsford dealerships amalgamated into Canada’s largest full-service RV Dealership. This industry leading facility is situated on 12-Acres and has over 100,000 square feet in three specific purpose designed buildings making Fraserway RV the largest Canadian Coast-to-Coast RV Dealership and Rentals market leader.
